Adjust Demand / Lead Time

You can adjust the Customer Demand or Lead Time to find out how it affects your results.

Customer Demand and Lead Time table's Widget actions

The main table of this page is the Customer Demand and Lead Time.

The last column Rate Card Drop Size only shows up if there is customer based Rate Card Drop Size in the input excel, its entries can be modified, however there are no widget actions to help adjusting them like there are for adjusting demand and lead time:

  • Adjust Demand: This option opens the Adjust Demand dialog page where the user can enter the percentage to increase or decrease demand.

  • Reset Demand: This option resets demand to its original state.

  • Adjust Lead Time: This option opens the Adjust Lead Time dialog page where the user can enter the new lead time value (in hours).

  • Reset Lead Time: This option resets lead time to its original state.

How to change Demand

To change demand you should make the following steps:

  1. Select the Product, Customer, Location, and Period for which to modify the forecast. You can select individual items, like "Aalborg," or groups, like "South-East(132)." The selection is done via the Product Filter, Customer Filter, and Period Filter side panels. For more about these read Filtering in Network Design part.

  2. Specify the percentage change that the model should apply to the selected demand values. You can do this by opening Adjust Demand dialog using the Adjust Demand option of the table's widget action. Enter an explanation for the adjustment in the Description field.

  3. Apply the change by clicking on the Increase/decrease button in the bottom right corner of the dialog. The change is applied and recorded in the table in the bottom right corner.

  4. The table shows the actual change in the demand forecast based on the percentage you entered. Hover over the impacted value to see the description you recorded.

  5. To restore the original Customer Demand data from the dataset, use the Reset Demand option of the table's widget actions and click Yes, reset demand data to confirm.

How to change Lead Time

  1. Select the Product, Customer, Location, and Period for which to modify the forecast. You can select individual items, like "Aalborg," or groups, like "South-East(132)."   2. Specify the new lead time (in hours) that the model should apply to the selected values. You can do this by opening Adjust Lead Time dialog using the Adjust Lead Time option of the table's widget action. Enter an explanation for the adjustment in the Description field.

  3. Apply the change by clicking on the Set new value button in the bottom right corner of the dialog. The change is applied and recorded in the table in the bottom right corner.

  4. The table shows the new value of the lead time based on the value you entered. Hover over the impacted value to see the description you recorded.

  5. To restore the original Customer Lead Time data from the dataset, use the Reset Lead Time option of the table's widget actions and click Yes, reset lead time data to confirm.
