Filtering in Network Design
Network Design filters are available on side panels. Each page contains filters for data types that are used on it. For example, the Production Report page has Product Filter and Production Filter because we overview Production Facility data on that page.
If a data type exists on different pages, the filter is applied everywhere. So if a production facility is filtered out on the Production Report page, in that case, it won't appear on the Transportation Report page, until the filter is switched back on.
Product Filter
On the Product Filter side panel, you can select which products you want to see the data.
If you unselect an individual product, that product is no longer displayed in the data widgets. If you select it, the corresponding data is visible again.
If you select/unselect a product group, the products in this group are also selected/unselected.
As soon as all products in a product group are selected, the checkbox in front of this segment or product group is checked. When there are one or more items in the product group that are not selected, then the checkbox for the group is unchecked. This allows you to easily see whether all items in the product group are selected or not.
Supplier Filter
On the Supplier Filter side panel, you can select which supplier you want to see the data. When the user unselects a supplier it affects widgets where the supplier is presented.
Resource Filter
On the Resource Filter, you can select which resources/locations you want to see the data. If you have resource grouping and/or location grouping in your data (when you allow this in your configuration), you can also select these groups in the two multi-select widgets.
If you unselect an individual resource or location, that resource/location is no longer displayed in the data widgets. If you select it, the corresponding data is visible again.
If you select/unselect a resource/location group, the resources/locations in this group are also selected/unselected.
As soon as a location that is related to a resource is selected, the corresponding resource is also selected.
As soon as a resource that is related to a location is selected, the corresponding location is also selected.
As soon as all locations that are related to a resource, are unselected, the corresponding resource is also unselected.
As soon as all resources that are related to a location, are unselected, the corresponding location is also unselected.
As soon as all resources/locations in a group are selected, the group is selected as well.
Resource Filter contains production facilities and DCs too. On pages where we are interested in only one of them, the proper filter appears, but both separate DC Filter and Production Filter are synchronized with the Resource Filter, and they work in the same way.
Customer Filter
On the Customer Filter, you can select which customers/locations you want to see the data. If you have a customer and/or location grouping in your data (when you allow this in your configuration), you can also select these groups in the two multi-select widgets.
If you unselect an individual customer or location, that customer/location is no longer displayed in the data widgets. If you select it, the corresponding data is visible again.
If you select/unselect a customer/location group, the customers/locations in this group are also selected/unselected.
As soon as a location that is related to a customer is selected, the corresponding customer is also selected.
As soon as a customer that is related to a location is selected, the corresponding location is also selected.
As soon as all locations that are related to a customer, are unselected, the corresponding customer is also unselected.
As soon as all customers that are related to a location, are unselected, the corresponding location is also unselected.
As soon as all customers/locations in a group are selected, the group is selected as well.
Transportation Mode Filter
The user can apply filters for transportation modes. The Transportation Filter side panel is presented on each page where data with transportation modes is presented.
Period Filter
The user can filter on periods when there are multiple periods considered (if configured in the wizard) and there is more than one period in the model.
