System Configuration
System Configuration is a tool which allows the administrator (admin) to make changes in the system setup. For now, this tool is mainly focused on matters related to the data storage.
The tool contains four pages which are shown in the page navigation menu.
In the sequel, we provide detailed information on the functionality offered on each page.
Status bar
The status bar is the same on each page and always shows three of these four items:
Data Source: This has two possible values: Database Storage or Data Lake Storage. It indicates whether the data is stored in a MySQL database or in parquet files in the Azure Data Lake Storage. Clicking on the item brings up a small dialog where you can select which data source should be used.
Database Schema: This is only visible in case the Data Source is set to "Database Storage". In this case it shows the name of the database schema.
File System: This is only visible in case the Data Source is set to Data Lake Storage. In this case it shows the name of the "File System".
